Nilambur: Chief Minister V.S.Achuthanandan will inaugurate the Bioresources Park at the Kerala Forest Research Institute(KFRI) sub-centre here on Sunday.
The Bioresources Park has been set up at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh with financial assistance of the Department of Biotechnology of the Union Government and the State Planning and Economic Affairs Department.
The park here has several conservation theme areas, with special reference to rare, endangered, endemic and threatened species.
It has areas for aquatic, xerophytes, pteridophytes, bryophytes, thallophytes, medicinal ornamental and aesthetic plants and other dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous plants
